Wow, this place is underrated! I can't believe the coffee is one of the best, almost the same as most expensive coffee places in the city. However this Diner doesn't squeeze your wallet. We came here with Mommy for lunch. My husband and Mommy came here before but it's new to me. They used to open across the street and now moved to this side of the street, as reported by Hubby. Due to something new I didn't want to order anything extravagant, so I kept it simple, Avenita Omelette! Sounds fancy but it was really a veggie omelette that includes spinach, mushroom, tomato and onion. Mommy ordered the same. It served with potato. I usually substitute potato with lettuce and tomato but forgot to do it this time. I tried the potato and it was pretty good. My omelette? It was awesome! With not much oil and great ingredients and fresh veggies, they got my vote. Hubby ordered two eggs over easy with kosher salami. That's right, they carry kosher salami here. This is definitely a plus. Mommy and I had whole wheat toast with our omelette. I would prefer grain bread but they don't have this. However, the whole wheat was very good, harder texture than most whole wheat. So ok, I liked this place and I wouldn't mind stopping by just to have some good coffee!

I ordered from here for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. They said an hour. My food was supposed to arrive between 3:51-4:51. I thought great! I have some time to do some stuff. As soon as I finished not even 45 minutes later, my food was here. I ordered the Greek chicken salad, and Greek wrap. I have to say. The food was on time, filled with flavor.
So why three stars? I asked them to chop the salad, it wasn't. And the wrap was soggy. Presentation wasn't all that. But I guess since it was delivered, it's the best they can do.
I also suggest using plastic for the food, rather than aluminum. But other than that, I'd give this place another go. I'll recommend here to my friends and family as well. Thanks guys.

Don't you just love a good neighborhood diner?!?!

I woke up insanely early Saturday morning and I was hungry. Within 30 mins I was up and out and on my way to this spot with the boy. I wanted to come here because their seamless menu said they had beef bacon. I was so excited...I'm a part of the "no pork on my fork tribe".

Buuuuutttt, when we got here and saw the actual menu there was no mention of beef bacon. I still had hope, but our waitress destroyed me with her polite no. I was devastated... and said they should change the seamless menu. Lol. Still hungry, I ordered a cheese omelet with beef sausage...which is my 2nd go to at a diner. I added an order a grits to that and was thoroughly satisfied. My partner had the eggs, corned beef hash, and potatoes. I don't really get corned beef hash but he liked it so I say get it.

I'll definitely come back here another Saturday morning before 9... after that it got crowded with people waiting for a table. A good sign that people like this spot and will wait. I definitely do.

Im so disappointed in this diner because the staff and management knew me as the Avenita Burger lady because i raved about their burgers and ordered 4x a week.Even when i moved and came back to the neighborhood my delivery guys said they were happy i was back.
The problem is on December 16th Sunday i ordered a simple turkey bacon egg and cheese sandwich with a coffee at 1:12pm...I live anout 5 mins away walking so at 1:40 i called to see what happened...they had my # wrong and the manager said his name was "Peter" and he only worked on Sunday and it was also a new delivery guy. I said no problem because the day before the new delivery guy had to ask me which order was even mine??...Soooo 2:20pm i called back and hes like Oh sorry...Im like should i cancel my order? And hes was like Yea you should just cancel it?!....The other manager who know me from 8463 (i moved to the other side of Parsons) would of been like No girl, Ill send you 2 personally, because Ive been a customer for 7 years at least 3 or 4x a week i order?! Im sooo disappointed with this new staff, i hope its only on Sundays!
